Unveiled in 1995, The Light Within reflected Manolo’s signature practice of transforming discarded studio remnants into textile, with salvaged threads and sequins hand placed and sealed between layers of laminated plastic. Many garments were built from the inside out, revealing subtle inner layers that suggested strength beneath the surface. Alongside these works, the collection also included pared-back silhouettes, pieces stripped of embellishment where form and shadow carried the message, honoring the quiet power of what is often overlooked.
